The mission of “Friends of Everglades Airpark, Inc.” is to advocate for improvements to our loacal airport. For a variety of reasons our airport had been neglected over a period of years. Our 501-C3 Nonprofit organization intends to raise funds through Memberships and Donations towards enhancements both for aesthetics and safety. We will host events such as Fly-Ins and Pancake Breakfasts to encourage Pilots to make use of our facilities. In addition we will look to the future and provide funding for Scholarships for local students interested in aviation related careers.

Everglades Airpark was established by the Collier family in the 1940’s. In 1947 President Harry Truman dedicated the Everglades National Park at this very Airpark. By December 2025, a new Everglades National Park Visitors Center will be opened and will surely bring more air traffic to Everglades Airpark which is located adjacent to the new complex. Our future is very bright. Please join us as we work towrads improvement and preservation of our local airport.
